Two weekends ago, I had an amazing time celebrating a friend’s birthday. She decided to do something a little different. Rather than having a birthday dinner at a restaurant, she celebrated more intimately — renting a suite at the W Hotel on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale, FL and having a dinner party in the suite. The tables were beautifully adorned, the food was delicious, and the hotel view was everything. Birthday goals!

Seeing as though the dinner was in an intimate setting I did not want to be over dressed. I contemplated this dress at first because of the color and the fabric. I felt that the maroon was too dark and the material was too thick for spring. But once I had it on and it hugged my curves (giving me a little booty) I had to say yes to the dress. It worked out perfectly though, because the birthday girl also had on maroon. Color coordinating heyyyyy…

I have had these heels for a while but I never wear them. To me they are a special event shoe. They were perfect for the dress. The dress had a shimmer to it, and the rose gold sparkles in the heels illuminated the shimmer.

Perhaps the most appealing part of the dress is the back. The cuts balance the dress with a bit of sexiness while at the same time being classy and conservative.

The boutique I purchased the dress from had so many amazing items. They had everything ranging from daily wear to special occasion. I also got some items from there that I will be wearing to Atlanta this weekend. You guys should definitely check out this hidden gem of Palm Beach. You won’t be disappointed!
