I’ve been working on incremental goal setting. I have an overarching goal, and each week I set a small goal to help me eventually reach my main goal. Doing it in this way helps your goal seem more attainable. It is also a rewarding process on a weekly basis — each week you have something different to accomplish therefore you have something to continuously be proud of.
No matter how minute the goal may seem be excited about it! And most importantly be in competition with yourself. For everyone of your accomplishments, go back and break your own record.
Two things helped me get my week off to a great start — these bright colors and…
And a nice cup of coffee. I was happy to discover a new coffee spot, Emko, located on Dixie in West Palm Beach. It is an art gallery, but it is also a restaurant. As soon as you walk in the door you become inspired by so many great pieces.
Bright colors always seem to have a “feel good effect,” especially yellow! That’s the type of thing you need on a Monday, a little pick me up. Â Because the suit is so bright, I decided to tone it down by wearing an all white blouse, but there are so many other ways to wear this ensemble. You could do a longer solid white top so that you could wear the suit to work or you can do a horizontal multicolored striped top.
Another thing I like about this suit is the monotone effect of the bottom of the coat and the pants. It gives the outfit this really cool ombre effect.
This week’s goal is to learn how to manage my time wisely. With so many things going on, it often gets tempting to take a break, but those breaks are detrimental because you get lazy and start to procrastinate. I would love to hear what your weekly goal is. Share it with me on IG:@chelseanikole
