Greetings! Hope you guys enjoyed last Sunday’s holiday. Even if you’re not religious, I hope you at least enjoyed the seasonal candy of marshmallow bunnies and jelly beans! I had a couple of events to attend last Sunday and I hopped to them all sporting this tropical ensemble.

Because it was Easter I wanted to wear something bright and springy. Floral prints, greenery prints, or pastels are always a safe bet. Think about it, have you ever visited a little girls’ clothing section around Easter time? Then you should have seen an array of flower printed and bright colored dresses — with the matching head piece of course 🙂

I chose to wear the cape blazer to accent other colors in the dress. The green banana leaves with the red cape is also a nice contrast in color. I could have chose to wear a white coat, but the outfit would have been so blah… Blazers are a nice touch for fit and flare dresses. You don’t want to hide the flare, so you need a jacket that hits right below the bodice.

I brought it all together with a nice pair of red suede pumps, of course by one of my favorite shoe designers. The Pigalle is so easy to walk in so this shoe was perfect for all the events I had to attend.
