All my life; that’s how long I’ve waited on this moment. Ever since I was a little girl I dreamt of attending Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week,  and finally I’ve been invited.

My love for fashion started when I was a child. I made my mom regret taking me to the grocery store with her. Talk about product placement…they sat those magazines right at the checkout counter for me. I had to have the latest edition of Vogue, In Style, and Elle.

Looking at fashion magazines, my senses become awakened. I can see the airbrushed-like face of the model — creamy smooth foundation, bold etches of mascara, rouge cheeks, spidery lashes, and blood stained colored lips. The aromatic smell of newly produced genuine leather garments. I can feel the silky authentic hairs of many minks. I can hear the clicking of the camera as the photographer shouts “Beautiful, just beautiful. You’re gonna love this one.” I can taste the hunger of the model to be the next big sensation.

I’ll be leaving for New York tomorrow and attending shows all weekend. Stay tuned to see what designers I’ll be covering and of course to see what I’ll be wearing 🙂

A little about my look:

70’s is in right now! If you love fringes, suede, and bell-bottoms, right now is the time to embrace it. This jacket is swinging! What makes it even better is that I got it apart of Forever 21’s BOGO sale. Because the jacket is doing so much it was important to keep the top simple. Add a little sex appeal with a low-cut top. Although the jeans are from Forever 21, they have a very thick quality about them. The two front pockets give me Mila Kunis, “That 70’s Show” vibes. Wedges keep the look themed, as where a stiletto would be more contemporary. Keep it funky with patterned wedges and handbags. I have had these wedges for years. Another tip! Be selective about what you trash. You never know what may come back in style!
