This weekend was bushels of fun! I helped my cousin ring in the first day of her 29th year of living; her birthday! The wind was blowing, the drinks were flowing, and the laughs were bursting. It was so L.A. but in a Palm Beach way.
The whole day was so impromptu. Undecided about where to wine and dive we met up on Clematis to have unlimited options. We quickly decided on E.R. Bradley’s because of the food, drinks, and the scenery. All that fun trickled into RumFest which was conveniently located near the restaurant.
I wanted to keep it casual so I went with a two piece and wedges. I don’t know what’s been up with me but I have totally been digging the whole ‘pattern on pattern’ look. Pattern on pattern is tricky and sometimes can be thought of as tacky. The best way to pull it off is to keep the look as simple as possible. Don’t let your shoes or accessories do more than your outfit is doing. The thing I like most about this set is that it is light weight and very free-flowing. If you’re going to be in the sun all day its perfect.
I did a bit of color blocking with my bag. A burst of red matched with my lip was a nice combo. Remember on my last post I was telling you guys about the BCBGeneration bracelets I wanted? Well this weekend I got them on sale — $100 worth of bracelets for $40. Sometimes it pays to wait (see them featured above). If you guys will be attending any festivals or just hanging out anytime soon get inspired by this look.
