The official start date for summer is June 20th, but with these soaring temperatures in South Florida we have already prepped for days filled with swimsuits, ice cream, and tropical vacations. I know that I shared with you guys that I work full-time, plus I manage the blog, but I never really shared what it is that I do.

I am a High School English teacher and have been for many years. I know what you are thinking. “I don’t know how you do it. I would have killed one of those kids. You must have a lot of patience.” And all those things are true! Sometimes I do not know how I do it. Sometimes I do want to kill the kids (not literally). And sometimes I do have A LOT of patience. But despite all those things there are a lot of rewarding things that come from teaching: Like a paid summer vacation lol.  🙂 Which if I may add, is very well deserved.

I am so happy to have the summer off so that I can work on so many other projects. This summer I plan to expand the blog. I will cover more than just my personal style. I will offer product reviews, cover events, give many ‘Do It Yourself’ tips, and so much more. I am adding a SHOP page to the blog so that you can easily shop all my favorite products directly from my site. I will be teaming up with several brands (that I know you will love) <3  I will be styling photo shoots. And probably the most exciting thing is that I will be starting a Youtube Channel! My channel will give you a peek into my life. There are so many other goodies that will be offered on the channel. Here is a little info about my look. I fell in love with these Free People denim pants while randomly browsing around Macy’s one evening. I love the vertical stripes to elongate my legs. I like the dark blue of the stripes because it allows you to color-block the denim pants with virtually any color. I can’t forget to mention the bell-bottom detail. The bottom makes the pants look and feel so free flowing, which is perfect for the summer.

Note: Heels are kinda essential when wearing these pants. You do not want them to drag the floor.

I live for this fedora. The navy band makes the hat pop. I am usually not a hat person (because I never want to mess up my hair), but this summer this little baby will be getting a lot of dome.

You  have got to love this top! The cool, light-weight sheer material was made to weather the summer heat. I love when I walked and the wind carried the top away. I felt like I was in a movie. The most appealing part about this top is how it is designed to fall off the shoulder and it is coupled with the cutest little ruffles. It is so romantic. Just think Italy! Venetian! Gondola! And I am pretty sure you envision this top.

Make sure to add off the shoulder tops and fun jeans to your wardrobe this summer.
